Sunday on the home front...

I finished my hat !

I am very happy because it is my first design ..and here I am sharing it ... and it was not hard or caused any headaches , just a simple knit from good ole yarn stash !!! go me !!!
I love that it is a complete set and the color says hello the moment you see it . I am pleased.I look forward to many more hats from my needles .....Besides, we are a hat/headcover wearing type of family. so the more the better...

Now I want to find me a nice poncho pattern and wack that out ...and wear it out!!!
I like the feeling of wearing my hand knits..I feel like i have purpose in the world..lol.. no really, I do...It is such an accomplishment,I guess it is the same with sewing too.

Now that that is done , I might just start a prayer shawl in this lovely bright cotton yarn sitting up in my stash taking up space....hmmmm..Yes I realize this is not on my " to Knit list" but it is cute and it USES UP YARN which is the goal here...and it again is a simple knit ...yeah i think we may have us a winner...

I still have that grey cardi to get back to as well...It just curled up in a plastic comfoter bag, suffocating...sad. so sad. (even though that picture just made me giggle....)

I have been listening to Lion Brand's Yarn Craft and have found it to be my favorite pod cast out of all the pods out there...Am I the first knitter to say, uhm so people were not born to pod-cast?

Some are good , actually entertaining then you have some that are not so good , not so entertaining ....I just wanted to get that off my chest ...What do you think ? I am actually glad we have such a forum, just not too happy with every pod out there ...so if you know of a really good, thought provoking knitting pod. let me know ..

I have tons of hair braiding left to do today. The boys are off from school this week and it will be corn rows all day for them .I have one down and two to go...This will be a long day. We have watched a few Black history shows, my son got supervised veiwing of some rap videos and I got my America's Next Top Model fix on all during our braiding session..They took a break to play with the dogs and shoot some hoop.
I refilled on fluids, took knitting pics, blogged and made rice...

I must get 2 it ...
