wed..came ..and went...

new projects started... a hat ; a prayer shawl...

heard of Sue Grafton? She wrote maddd mysteries and the shero in the books is none-other-than a knitter...I just put this on the night stand...should be good. I love me good knitting fiction.....

my braided boy beauties....

**** okay I am over my husband not bringing me more yarn at work ..***** ;)

let's move on :

OMG ....
This week end i am going to get more minutes on my phone, get my car fixed, file my taxes and pay my outstanding electric bill ...That will be a wonderful feeling once that is all taken care of ..oh yeah and get ma hair did , too... I can no longer wait and ask for rides..neither can my sons..That has been the case for about 2 weeks. Leaving home early (over and hour early) to catch 2 buses to get to work..... and then the whole trying to get back home and pick up kids on the way thing ...just not conveneint with out my jeep ..so i will have to drop the big bucks to get my self mobile again....and I am feeling great about it !!! glad that I am a income producing sistah...Besides I need to get my tail to the knit-meet-up in New Haven and a non-knitter will NOT drive me 30 minute to and from a knitting get together with out giving me attitude....lol...

I am doing the one month KAL with Ebony Elite. I chose to knit a cotton prayer shawl i found on the LionBrand website.. I have already started it .and i likey A lot ... I am being very proficient with my knitting these. and I can see this will be a nice , ease knit. I look forward to taking it to work and watching tv with it and having late night, mindless, soothing knitting sessions with it.

Speaking of t.v the writers are back and that means I'll officially be knitting with Grey's again and I am excited about that !!!I am over my Deperate houswives fixation ( those bitches are really scandoulous) even though it was entertaining ....I just don't want that energy any more ..Even if it is only t.v. ...I have been watching cartoons more with the boys and tonight we started watching ROOTS. I figure it would be great historical entertainment and it would get some serious conversations going in the house w/ the boys... But even tonight while watching it I had to apologize to the boys in advance for all the ugly feelings that such a truthful show can bring..feelings of anger , hate, mistrust , even vengeance because of the brutal history of black people...We only got through 1/2 hour of it ..It was late and I didn't really want them too stirred just before bed ....Ya'll know ROOTS the movie is long ..so I'll keep you posted ....So far I am enjoying seeing the lovely head wraps and flowing fabrics on the women , the strong chocalate brothers ,the hair styles and all the young actors that i have grown to love...

Your blog is wonderful too. Great color scheme .. haha!! Girl, I can't wait till tax time either. I have to take my car for routine maintainance, about ahem... 3,000 miles ago. I have a light that needs a new bulb, and I keep praying the cops don't stop me. I hate the bus too. I got sick from standing in the cold waiting for the bus last night. I usually take it from Manhattan into Brooklyn on the weekdays for work. I can't even talk, I'm so sick. But, I can still knit. Oh, and i love the post about you knitting at work. haha!! I have done that too.

I wish I could knit and work. I can only do it at lunch....or can I?

Your boys hair is so pretty. My daughter hair is natural and I have trying to talk her into dreads, but she isn't feeling it yet. She's 14 and now wants curls.
